Our trip down town

Image
Hello world, this is Grace again!  If you ever go to Chicago here are some things to see.  We went to the Willis tower and the art institute.  At the Willis tower, if you stand next to it and look up, it is REALLY high.  When you go in you have to go down to the bottom floor and stand in line to get tickets.  The line is very long and on the walls there are facts about the Willis tower.  Then they take a picture and at the end you can buy the pictures they took.  then you stand in line to get in the elevator.  It takes the elevator 1 minute for the elevator to get  to the sky deck.In the elevator your ears pop and feel weird.  At the top you can see for miles.  In some places we were over the clouds! When I was in line for the skydeck I could not wait to get to the front of the line. But when it was time to get on the skydeck I did not want to let go of the wall. When I was on it without holding on to the wall it was cool but scary.If...

Dragon Dreams

A dragon swooped by. Lavender's breath caught in her chest and she embraced the feeling of having that creature near her. Lavender was supposed to be raking.  " Almost Lala! " Lavender replied.       Havela popped back inside and Lavender was alone again  with just the leaves and the wind.     If she were ever a dragonrider she wouldn't want anything else, it was what she'd always wanted.        Lavender sighed though and began to rake more leaves to her pile, it was the kind of dream that wasn't ...

Stranded

" Come on guys! " Diamond called. She was a few yards ahead and bouncing with joy. Amethyst could barely catch up to her. Soon, once they got closer to the docks, Amethyst couldn't even see Diamond in the crowd.       "Diamond! Where are you?! Come here!" She called for her sister. In a few seconds Diamond came bursting out of the crowd and right into Amethyst.    "Please don't run off Diamond!" she scolded, " now come on, we go this way. " Amethyst held Diamond's hand and led her to the back of the crowd.    The boarding line for the S.S. Mango was very long. Seagulls swooped overhead and landed around the edges of the crowds. Then somebody would move and a patch would fly up. Amethyst kept a strong grip on Diamond's hand to keep her from chasing them.     Even while Diamond tugged and whined Amethyst couldn't not think of how much she loved her sister. Her soft blond hair and sparkling diamond blue eyes, her sky blue ro...
